NFRC: Competent Person Scheme

The NFRC Competent Person Scheme (CPS) is a UK-specific program for roofing contractors. It allows them to self-certify their roof refurbishment work in compliance with Building Regulations, particularly Approved Document L1B. This scheme offers time and cost savings by avoiding the need for separate Building Control sign-off. For homeowners and commercial clients, it provides savings on inspections and assurance of work quality, including a ten-year Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) for domestic projects.
